Fat Printer (2017)

Plywood, steel, lard

Product Design - Year 2

Food design project about printing fat. The initial focus was to work with fat as an hydrophobic material. Testing and experimenting resulted into the idea of using it as 'filament' in a 2,5-D printer. This prototype attempts to use this waste material and shape it into structures using its own physical properties.
